Police reported that Marler had threatened Rick Marler with a hammer and the two men were fighting with knives when officers arrived. Bail: $1,200. Christopher J. Alexander, 29, of West Jordan, Utah, was arrested by West Wendover police at 3:03 a.m. Saturday at a Wendover Boulevard casino and charged with possessing or receiving stolen property.

Bail: $2,500. Raymond S. Saenz, 42, of Visalia, was arrested by sheriffs deputies at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Tulare County Jail in Visalia on an Elko Justice Court warrant charging him with embezzlement of personal property by a bailee. Bail: $7,500.

Peterson, 20, of Wendover, Utah, was arrested by West Wendover police at 3:30 p.m. July 5 at the West Wendover police substation on an Eastline Township Justice Court warrant charging him with destruction of property. Bail: $600. Benjamin Luna, 25, of Elko was northbound on 14th Street turning right at Idaho Street at noon Saturday when a vehicle driven by John R.

Wydick, 41, of Nampa, Idaho, also attempted to turn right and struck his vehicle, Elko police reported. Damage to Wydick's vehicle was moderate, according to the report, while Luna's car sustained minor damage. Craig D. Miller, 22, of Elko, in custody at the Elko County Jail, was served an Elko Justice Court warrant charging him with failure to appear to pay a fine for second-offense drunken driving and driving on a suspended license. Bail: $1,370.

Lazaro T. Gonzales, 18, of New York City was arrested by Nevada Highway Patrol at 12:10 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 80 near Deeth and charged with two counts of grand larceny, possession of a credit card without consent and failure to use a seat belt. Bail: $7,535. NHP said Gonzales was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Terry R.

Gonzales, 31, of New York that overturned several times on 1-80. Both men were taken to Elko General Hospital where Lazaro Gonzales was treated and released. Terry Gonzales was flown to University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City where he was listed in good condition this morning. Esequeil Garcia 18, of Rupert, Idaho, was arrested by Elko County Sheriffs Department deputies at 12:07 a.m. June 18 in Jackpot and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Bail: $600. Heidi M. Long, 17, of Elko was southbound on Sixth Street approaching Ash Street at 7:45 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle driven by Brian C. Loper, 18, of Spring Creek drove through the intersection and struck her car, Elko police reported.

Both vehicles sustained moderate Peter A. Lamb, 33, of Midvale, Utah, was arrested by West Wendover police at 8:10 a.m. yesterday at a Wendover Boulevard casino and charged with domestic violence. Bail: $600. Michael A.

Jackson, 16, of Elko was taken to Elko General Hospital after a one-car accident on 1-80 seven miles west of Wells at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Nevada Highway Patrol reported. A 1979 Mazda driven east-bound on 1-80 drifted off the road, overturned several times and was totaled, according to the report. Jackson, a passenger in the vehicle, was treated and released. The driver was believed to have fled the scene, NHP reported.

Driver charged NEWTON, NJ. (AP) The driver of a bus that crashed and burned on its way to an amusement park was charged Friday with six counts of aggravated manslaughter. Robert Campbell, 60, knew the bus's brakes were in poor condition but decided to make the trip with a group of youngsters anyway, Sussex County Prosecutor Dennis O'Leary said. O'Leary said Campbell, who remains hospitalized in critical condition, had taken the bus to a repair shop July 21 and knew the brakes needed work O'Leary said passengers on the charter bus smelled smoke and saw Campbell testing the brakes before they left their Williamsburg neighborhood in New York City Sunday. "We have information the bus was pouring off smoke and a burning odor on the way to Action Park," O'Leary said.

"The bus was in a serious state of disrepair." The shortcut Campbell was taking to Action Park, an amusement park about 40 miles from New York City, was a steep road limited to vehicles 4 tons or less. The bus weighed 22 tons and accelerated as Campbell tried to apply the brakes, O'Leary said. Two children and four adults were killed. Among the six killed was the driver's wife, Allie Mae. Peter Tone, 26, was arrested by tribal officers at 12:10 a.m.

Murphee of Nevada Department of Transportation told Elko police at 3 a.m. Saturday that he had received a call from the Tooele County Sheriffs Department that they had picked up a suspect driving a stolen state vehicle. Murphee told police the Dodge Reliant had been last seen at 10 a.m. Friday "in the DOT yard. The yard was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle, Murphee said.

Ernesto Franco-Cruz, 30, of Elko was arrested by tribal officers at 1:35 a.m. yesterday at Indian View Heights and Buckskin Drives: i and charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and failure to maintain the travel lane. Bail: $1,420. Nevada Division, of Forestry firefighters responded to a motor home fire at 3:36 p.m. Friday in which the motor home was destroyed and its owner burned. Elko County Sheriffs Department deputies reported that Roger Hartgraves.

56, of Sunnyvale. Calif, was southbound on Mountain City Highway 65 miles north of Elko when the engine failed. Hartgraves took off the engine cover and a backfire set the vehicle on fire, according to the report. Hartgraves was burned on his chest, legs and right hand and taken to Elko General Hospital where he was treated and released. The motor home was a total loss, deputies reported.

Gregorio M. Montano, 40, of North Las Vegas was arrested by West Wendover police at 1121 a.m. yesterday at a Pueblo Village residence in West Wendover and charged with domestic violence. Bail: $600. Dana Taylor told Elko police that someone broke into his Bullion Road residence between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Saturday and smashed a mirror with a lamp. Police said the front door of the residence had been kicked in and the frame and locks damaged. Taylor estimated the damage at $630. William Schrank, 18, a transient, was arrested by Elko police at 5:09 p.m. Saturday at Elko Police Department and charged with resisting an officer.

Bail: $2,000. Frank Temoke III, 27, of Elko was arrested by city police at 12:50 p.m. yesterday at Goldie's Saloon on Railroad Street and charged with injury to personal property. Manager Ron Goldie told police that Temoke broke a window of the saloon with his fist Bail: $600. Jose Duran of Elko told police that a stereo valued at $600 was stolen from his car between 6:30 and 10:15 p.m.

Thursday while it was parked at the Pizza Hut where he works. Duran told police the vehicle was not locked. Raul Vargas-Riva, 31, of West Wendover was arrested by West Wendover police at 2:40 a.m. June 2 on Camper Road south of the library and charged with drunken driving, obstructing an officer and reckless driving. Steven Draper, 23, was arrested by city police at 220 a.m. Saturday at his College Parkway residence and charged with domestic violence. Bail: 1 992 Hunting Edition i i Lillian M. Coca, 52, of Wendover, Utah, was arrested by West Wendover police at 720 p.m. July 27 at Frontier Foodtown and charged with petty larceny.

Bail: $600. Laurentino G. Chavez, 22, of Wendover, Utah, was arrested by West Wendover police at 10:43 p.m. July 23 at a Wendover Boulevard casino and charged with drunken driving. Bail: $850.

.0 Howard A. Evans of Elko told police that a stereo valued at $700 was stolen from his car between 10 p.m. Friday and 2:15 p.m. Saturday while it was parked at Fourth and Commercial Streets. Evans said the burglars caused $800 worth of damage to his dashboard.

C. Stewart to go on trial A Wyoming man charged with trying to kidnap a California teen-ager at a local motel is scheduled to go on trial tomorrow. Clark Stewart, 32, of Gillette, is charged with a felony count of second-degree kidnapping, or, in the alternative, a gross misdemeanor count of false imprisonment. The three-day trial in Elko District Court is scheduled to be held in front of Elko District Judge Thomas Stringfield. Attorney David Lockie is representing Stewart, who is charged with trying to kidnap a 12-year-old Rose-ville, girl March 19 at the Holiday Inn.

Elko Deputy District Attorney John McGimsey is prosecuting the case. Timothy J. Kearney, 34, of Carlin was arrested by Nevada Highway Patrol at 9.40 a.m. Friday on 1-80 at Wells and charged with drunken driving, second-offense drunken driving, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug and possession of drug materials. Bail: $6,550.

Suspects tied to Ford heist Salt Lake City police and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents have arrested four suspects in the June 30 burglary of Gallagher Ford. Thomas E. Rodden, 27, Thomas E. Jones 22, Wallis Jones, 19, and a female juvenile were arrested Friday at 1027 E. Barbara Place in Salt Lake City.

Rodden was tracked to the Utah city through a cooperative investigation between Elko Police Department authorities and Colorado law enforcement agencies, according to an EPD news release. Among the stolen property recovered were four vehicles, including a 1992 Ford Explorer believed stolen from the Elko Ford dealership. A copying machine, weapons and tools that were recovered also are believed to have come from Gallagher Ford. Rodden and Thomas and Wallis Jones are expected to be charged in Wyoming and Nevada with various automobile thefts and burglaries. Federal charges are pending.

The three are being held in Salt Lake County Jail. The juvenile was turned over to juvenile authorities. 1 Wayne J. Nino, 26, of Owyhee was arrested by sheriffs deputies at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Tuscarora Highway two miles north of Mountain City Highway and charged with drunken driving, second-offense drunken drunken driving and carrying an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
