As a football player, life and death involved one of those things you ever want to talk about a for- mer player Brad Paisley Who knew a week ago that these words of country singer Brad Paisley would ring true when talking about the life of Jeston Pray. You see, Jeston, or as mom and dad called him loved country music, movies like the or football, sports of all kinds, his mom, his nephew Taiton, all of his family, his girl friends, a cold beer, dog, getting to travel with family and friends, and forget those Dallas Cowboys. Jes loved He enjoyed history and current events of the world, tracking his stocks and financial markets, dreams of en- trepreneurship and starting his own business, and once again living in the city or on the beach. But God had dif- ferent plans.

Jeston Rocky Pray was born on March 10, 1993 in Reno, NV to Rocky and Dana Pray. Gone way too soon, he passed away on January 14, 2017 due to injuries from an accidental fall while visiting Dallas in preparation for their playoff game. True to his character, spirit will live on in the lives of five people who were blessed with his organ donation. With that great smile, we would see Jes making those great plays on the football field as this was his greatest passion. With that great smile, his amazing back swing and flick of the wrist could launch that little white ball, crushing it to nearly 300 yards on his good days.

With that great smile, we all learned how lucky he could be playing cards or a simple board game with family and friends. With that great smile, his dad would get him out in the hills of South Dakota or Nevada for a hunt (even though fishing was his favorite)! With that great smile, we enjoyed many great trips and vacations together as traveling was another one of his pas- sions that he would get so excited about. We enjoyed these special times. There are so many more ways that sweet Jes will be remembered. His winning spirit, his great cooking abili- ties yep, just add jalapeno, and whatever nickname was most appropriate Pray, Spanky, Peter Pan! He loved his Cowboys and his first, all-time favorite player, Emmitt Smith, as he wore during his younger years playing in Frisco, TX.

Rosita Petit Marvel Rosita Camarillo Petit Marvel, 91, passed away near her home in Elko, Nevada, on January 17, 2017.

The wife of Thomas Jenkins Marvel and youngest child of Alfred and Rosa (Camarillo) Pe- tit of Ventura County, California, Rosita was born April 9, 1925, in Los Angeles, California. Rosita had two sisters: Inez (who passed away at the age of 2) and Gloria, and a brother, John. A woman of natural beauty and grace, Rosita was born of Spanish, French and German decent. She was the granddaughter of Justin and Fran- cis (Kaufman) Petit as well as, Adolfo and Isabella (Menchaca) Camarillo of Ventura County, California. Adolfo Camarillo was considered Last Spanish and the town of Ca- marillo, California was named in his honor.

It was here, in Camarillo, that Rosita was raised in the old tradition on her Rancho Rosal adjacent to her Rancho Camarillo, for- mally known as Rancho Callegueas. Rancho Callegueas was one of several historic Spanish land grants made to Spanish Dons in the early days of California settlement. Beef cattle, dairy cattle, walnuts, oranges, lima beans and various other agricultural crops were produced on the ranch. In addition, it was also home to the well-known, elegant, white Camarillo horses developed by grandfather, Adolfo Camarillo. Rosita grew up riding these and other fine stock horses in the Spanish Vaquero tradition.

Generations were able to enjoy the splendor of the majestic white Camarillo horses in various parades including yearly appearances in the Tournament of Roses Parade and Santa Barbara Fiesta. The riders of these horses were a young Rosita, along with her sister and cousins, dressed in elaborate red satin dresses and riding beautiful silver-mounted saddles with tack adorned in silver. As a young woman, Rosita attended the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California. It was during this time, while visiting a school friend in Battle Mountain, Nevada, that she met the love of her life, Thomas Jenkins Marvel, a Nevada cowboy and rancher. On December 28, 1945, Tom and Rosita were married in the church built by her grandfa- ther and great-uncle, St.

Mary Catholic Church in Camarillo, California. As a brave wife on the home front during WWII, Rosita gave birth to the first of their seven chil- dren while her husband was still at war. After discharge from the U.S. Army in 1947, Tom and Rosita settled in Nevada to begin a life of cattle ranching. Rosita adjusted beautifully to life in Nevada with grace and elegance.

She became well-known for her delicious meals and hospitality toward others. The growing Marvel house- hold often spilled over with extra cowboys, visitors, friends, and family who were always welcomed and brought together at table. As a devout Catholic with a quiet, deep, and unwavering faith, Rosita often drove a long distance to town to attend daily and weekly Mass with her children and family in tow, and always made time for daily recitation of the Rosary. Rosita loved to laugh and enjoyed painting, shopping, rais- ing beautiful flowers, playing the piano, and visiting with family and friends. She was never without her red lipstick.

Rosita was forever her husband and She lived her life following Christ always steady, calm, com- passionate, and kind in a world that sometimes was not.
